Highlands Oncology recently opened this new cancer center that brings a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment in a state-of-the-art facility. Medical services including imaging, chemotherapy, radiation therapy as well as laboratory space, exam rooms, non-profit offices, and a cafe are all housed in the center. Core worked closely with the groups of nurses, doctors, technicians and administrators to finalize the layout and overall design. The spaces are arranged to provide the best possible layout for enhancing collaboration among the medical staff while providing a light-filled pleasant environment for the patients.

Northwest Medical New Hope

Rogers, Arkansas

The Northwest Medical New Hope consists of a physician's clinic located on the east side of Rogers, Arkansas. The primary function of the clinic is to cater to the growing population of Northwest Health patients from east Springdale to Rogers. The building consists of a large waiting area with reception, nurse's stations, exam rooms, a specialty clinic, X-ray, a small lab, and doctor's offices. The concept for the building form was initially derived from the Northwest Medical logo. The curved nature of the logo is incorporated into the design of the serpentine wall that divides the lobby from the rest of the clinic. The materials chosen for the building consist of natural elements and tones in order to create a serene and calming environment for the patients. Daylight penetrates much of the clinic, including most of the exam rooms, to further enhance the natural aesthetic of the clinic and enhance the patient experience.

Core Architects designed a new state-of-the-art women's clinic. This facility introduces comforting daylight throughout the space by the use of clerestory glazing. The building houses exam rooms, doctor's offices, nurse's stations, and lobby space.

Springdale, Arkansas

The Northwest Medical Plaza Eastside is a physician's clinic located on the east side of Springdale, Arkansas. The primary function of the clinic is to cater to the growing population of Northwest Health patients in East Springdale. The building consists of a large waiting area with reception, nurse's stations, exam rooms, a specialty clinic, X-ray, a small lab and doctor's offices. The concept for the building form was initially derived from the Northwest Medical logo. The curved nature of the logo is incorporated into the design of the serpentine wall that divides the lobby from the rest of the clinic. On the lobby interior horizontal shelves form soffits on this curved wall inspired by layers of sedimentary rock often found in the Ozark Mountains. The materials chosen for the building consist of natural elements and tones in order to create a serene and calming environment for the patients. Daylight penetrates much of the clinic, including most of the exam rooms, to further enhance the natural aesthetic of the clinic and enhance the patient experience.

Core completed the Northwest Arkansas Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in 2007. This 9,500 square-foot clinic is clad in earth tone colored brick and stucco in order to match the surrounding development.
